A festival celebrating piano music, supported by professional concert pianist Joshua Kelly. The festival will begin with a masterclass, in which Joshua Kelly will explore the finer of performing Mozart’s K333 piano sonata. Students are welcome to prepare parts of this sonata if they wish to participate, but similarly students are welcome to just come along and learn about how to perform Mozart without performing this piece.
Following on from the masterclass, will be a student piano concert, in which students will perform a solo piano piece and will receive written feedback from Joshua Kelly on their performances. Three prizes will be presented for outstanding performances. Players of all abilities are invited to participate.
Joshua Kelly is a highly regarded classical pianist, both as a solo and chamber ensemble performer. If you would like a sample of Joshua Kelly’s work, you can see him perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, K. 488 HERE.
